Mangaluru, Sep 12: Minister for food and civil supplies UT Khader said on Tuesday, September 12 that the arrest of ‘Vartha Bharati’ reporter without issuing the notice was wrong and he had requested the home minister for a high level enquiry into the matter.

Addressing media he said, “The reporter had reported the raid of police at the residence Khalandar, a suspect in RSS activist Sharath Madiwala’s murder. Police arrested him without issuing any notice. Whoever has done this, it is totally wrong. What was the urgency in arresting him without issuing any notice? I have discussed this matter with the home minister and urged for a high level enquiry into the matter and he has assured the same.”

Title deeds will be distributed

The minster also said that revenue minister Kagodu Thimmappa will distribute title deeds on September 14 at Mudipu college ground to 1200 applicants under section 94c and 2,000 applicants under section 94cc.

“We have received a total of 3,000 applications and 6,642 applications under section 94c and 94cc respectively, out of which 3,200 applicants will receive their title deeds under both the sections. Along with title deeds, amenities will be distributed to the beneficiaries. People need to utilize this scheme and get their title deeds. “Under section 94c, people belonging to general category need to pay Rs 1000 for 1200 sq ft, Rs 2,000 for 2400 sq ft and Rs 3000 for 4500 sq ft, while people from the SC\ST categories need to pay half of the amount to get their title deeds. Applicants should make sure that they get their title deeds by paying the amount,” he added.

POS machine at ration shops

Khader said, “Overall, 60% ration shops have installed POS machines in the state. We will not force to install POS machine where there is no network. If the ration shop fails to install POS machine despite having network, then we will install POS machine in these ration shops as we have signed an agreement with a centrally approved organization. After the installation of POS machine, we will deduct an amount from their commission as penalty. Mangaluru has the highest percentage in terms of POS installation with 96.33%. As many as 473 out of 491 ration shops have installed POS machines here,”

'Anila Bhagya' scheme

“Along with gas connection and gas stove, we will send a proposal to the cabinet of providing two refills to BPL families. The poorest of poor should make use of this scheme and refills will be provided free of cost,” informed Khader.

Common people get lost in the daily activity of work life balance .

these people should not forget their responsibility towards society . the question of arresting and legal action comes later
