Sex is a reality people don't want to acknowledge: Actor Pranav Sachdev

New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS): Actor Pranav Sachdev, currently seen in filmmaker Vikram Bhatt's erotic thriller web series "Hadh", says sex as a subject is a reality that people don't want to talk about.

Asked why is the genre of erotic-thriller considered distasteful, Pranav told IANS over phone: "In my opinion, no genre is distasteful. I think people have varied tastes and judging a genre will be judging its audience. Sex as a subject is still a taboo and people don't want to acknowledge it, but it's a reality."

The actor says he has no problem with the genre, and feels such content is only being created because it has its consumers.

Doesn't he fear getting in the genre?

"I think you have to start out somewhere as an actor," he added.

The actor says initially he was nervous about the "lovemaking" scenes.

"But then that is the thrill of being an actor, it's where the known ends and the unknown begins. Also, as an actor I don't want to think so much at this point, I just want to give my best and then let the audience decide where and how they want to see me," he added.

Talking about working with Bhatt, Pranav described him as a "master" at what he does.

"Vikram Bhatt is a master at what he does. His art conveys what people haven't been attempting -- I feel very fortunate to be a part of 'Hadh', I think he has written a very intriguing show," he said.
