Bantwal: CID takes up investigations of Jaleel Karopadi murder case

Bantwal, Sep 26: “CID officials have taken up the investigations relating to the murder of Abdul Jaleel Karopadi, former vice-president of Karopadi gram panchayat, following orders from the state government,” said Usman Karopadi, father of the deceased.

Usman said that that the team led by CID superintendent of police (SP) Anand and SP Sujith visited Karopadi gram panchayat office on Monday, September 27 and gathered details from panchayat PDO and staff.

“The team visited my house and questioned me. I told the officials that though I identified primary suspects Dinesh Shetty, Vinod and Pradeep, none of them have been arrested,” he added.

Usman Karopadi said that he informed the officials that police are protecting the three suspects enabling them to get relief by the court from arrests.

He informed that he told the investigating officials that he received threat calls from underworld don Vicky Shetty.

He said that he requested the CID to arrest the three suspects and provide justice.

CID officials have assured of justice in the case, he said.
