Kasargod: Reversing truck falls on car, two seriously injured

Kasargod, Oct 2: A truck fell on a car while reversing and the occupants of the car were injured seriously.

The incident took place at Kolari, Mavinakatte near Badiyadka on Monday, October 2.

Mohammed Kunhi Haji (72) and his son Munir (32) from Kolari near Badiyadka are the injured.

As per details, the truck came in the morning to Mavinakatte carrying a borewell digging equipment. After reaching the destination, the truck driver was reversing the truck. The car, which was behind the truck, stopped as the road was narrow. The truck reversed more than anticipated by the car driver and fell on the car.

The occupants of the car remained trapped in the car as the locals failed to pull them out. Fire brigade personnel removed Mohammed Kunhi Haji and Munir from the heavily damaged car by using a crane. Badiyadka police also rendered help in one hour operation. Then the injured were rushed to Kasargod hospital.
