Udupi, Oct 5 : Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) activists protested with black flags against Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje here on Thursday, October 5. Police detained them and took them to the police station to stop the protest.

KRV members shouted slogans against Shobha Karandlaje holding her responsible for the bad state of roads in Udupi and particularly in Manipal, which has received wide coverage in the media in the recent days.

Once the protest was stopped by the police, Shobha Karandlaje went to the venue where she was scheduled to participate in a programme on GST.

Shobha Karandlaje had made a statement on Wednesday that she had sought funds to the tune of Rs 100 crore from the Union government to repair the pathetic road in Manipal.

Have a heart guys! Where does she have the time to attend to the problems of her constituency? She is busy roaming around with Yeddyurappa and preparing food for the invitees in Mysore. Isn't that more important than attending to the problems of her constituency for which she was foolishly chosen by the voters.

She only remained as a number seat count for BJP in parliament !!!. Nothing she has done for the constituency. She should be made accountable to show what she did with Crores of MP fund ?, for last election she had showed money worth 160 Crores to election commission, for next election she might show 420 Crores !!

Is anyone who voted for Shoba Karandlaje can give the list of any 2 works she has done after becoming MP. People already done the mistake by electing her as a MP. I request the people of karnataka that take a 5 minutes and valuate the work of Shoba Karandlaje and if you found that she is not suitable for MP then do not vote her again. We need good politicians with good educational background so that they can concentrate on development rather than playing dirty politics with religion.

90% of the voters vote on the basis of caste not on the basis of merit. Liquor, money, and muscle power too are some of the other factors influencing the voters.

When state highway between Katpadi and Shirva can be upgraded and Karkala too why is the State government playing politics in this particular highway. Do they have some grudge against any business group here. And fish meal people are also quiet adding to speculation and doubts.

Protest for genuine reason is always justified and supported..Why arrested ? everyone have right for peaceful protest.
Road from Hebri to Karkala moodbidri is wide and is in very good status But from Moodbidri to Manglore its worst narrow curve road filled with patholes And Road from Hebri to Perdoor also in good status with enough length But again road from Perdoor to Hiriyakda, Parkala Manipal is same narrow road with pat holes? Why road is not developed in particular area only? due to local MLA? Corporator? or MP? why don't all sit together and solve the problem for common public?
