New Delhi: Aarushi Murder may have been Planned: CBI

TNN

New Delhi, Jun 11: With Dr Rajesh Talwar's compounder, Krishna, entering the scene as one of the suspects in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, the CBI on Tuesday widened the ambit of its probe to include the ‘‘possibility'' that the gruesome killings were pre-meditated. This was thrown up by a reconstruction of the crime scene undertaken by the CBI late on Monday night with Krishna's help.

The new twist came when the agency took Krishna to the Talwars' residence at Jalvayu Vihar, Noida, and, step by step, reconstructed the crime. The forensic experts who accompanied the CBI sleuths lifted certain fingerprints from the airconditioner in Aarushi's bedroom and from Hemraj's bathroom. The analysis of these prints later indicated the presence of at least two persons besides the slain domestic help at the spot.

CBI sources said, though nothing concrete has come to light so far against either Dr Rajesh Talwar or Krishna, the circumstances and preliminary result of the compounder's lie detector test also hinted that the murder was pre-meditated and not done on the spur of the moment, as claimed by the Noida police.

The sources also said that there could be two or even three killers. Pointing to the friendly entry of the killers, they said the murders now appear to have been planned in advance and cover-up strategies studied meticulously.
