Bengaluru, Oct 7: State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa has expressed his decision to contest upcoming elections from Shikaripura constituency.
“The people of Shikaripura are asking me not to go elsewhere. Shikaripura is the place which helped me rise in my political career. I will submit my nomination from Shikaripura and visit all around the state. Bagalkote BJP district president Siddu Savadi will contest from Theradala constituency. He will win with a margin of more than 25 thousand votes. The party high command had asked me to contest from any constituency of Uttar Karnataka. But I will convince them. I will bring BJP to power” he said in Bagalkote on Friday, October 6.
“The ACB raids on the houses of IT officials are the limit of Siddaramaih’s foolishness. IT department may conduct raids on few more houses of Karnataka state ministers. That is why Siddaramaiah has ventured into ACB raids on IT officials houses,” he alleged.
Parivarthana Rath Yatra
BJP state general secretary and former minister Shobha Karandlaje has been appointed as convenor of the BJP’s Nava Karnataka Parivarthana Rath Yatra.
Shobha is known for her organisational skills and has looked after the logistics of several political rallies. The Parivarthana Yatra, to expose the ‘misdeeds’ of the state government is the state BJP’s most ambitious rally.
Suresh Kumar said the Yatra for southern districts of the state will be launched on November 2 in Bengaluru. For northern districts, the Yatra will be launched in Hubballi later.
