Abu Dhabi to issue new permanent vehicle registration card

Abu Dhabi, Oct 21 (Emirates 247): As of December 1, 2017, the police here will start issuing permanent registration card for vehicles.

''The new card will be issued without an expiry date. The expiry date will only be available on the traffic and licensing system to be used for renewal which requires car technical testing and insurance, the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police said on its account on Facebook.

''SMS will be sent to the vehicles owners to remind them of getting their registration cards renewed a month before the expiry date. Accordingly, they will be able to get the service without having to change the registration card. They can also enquire about the card expiration via Abu Dhabi police smart applications or website."
