Los Angeles, Oct 26 (IANS): Singer-actress Mandy Moore is thankful to social media for introducing her to her fiance Taylor Goldsmith, frontman for the band Dawes.
Moore said they connected with each other through Instagram, reports people.com. "I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram," Moore said.
"Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé," she added.
Since Goldsmith is often on tour and Moore shoots "This is Us" here, they are not able to spend much time together.
"We spent hours FaceTiming each other. We fell in love before we'd even really held hands or kissed or anything. It was great," Moore said.
The couple got engaged in September.
On her wedding plans, the actress said: "We are both pretty quiet, private people. I never imagined myself with some beautiful dress in front of 300 people. It will be quiet and private - just for us."
