Bengaluru, Oct 28: In a bizarre incident reported from the city, a techie, who wanted to prove that his wife is of immoral character, uploaded the photo and mobile number of his wife on the dating website.

Crime Department of Cyber Police have arrested Harshavardhan Bhat, resident of Electronic city and employee of renowned software company, as per the complaint filed in this regard by his wife.

Harshavardhan hails from Harishi village of Shivamogga district.

Of late, the couple, who are married for the last six years, had issues in their marital life due to personal and family reasons. They are fighting a case in this regard in the court.

According to the wife, in order to prove in the court, that his wife is of immoral character, her husband did this disgraceful act.

Harshavardhan's wife started receiving numerous calls from men for date. Though she rebuked the callers, she wondered how the men got her phone number. On deeper verification, she strongly suspected the role of her husband in this issue and reported to the police.

Harshavardhan used his wife's email to update the photo and details in order to avoid detection. However, he did this from his laptop, which led to his arrest.

According to the Cyber Crime Police, it is proved that husband is the one who has committed this crime during the preliminary investigation. Accordingly, he has been arrested and further investigation is under progress.
