Doha: KMCA set to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava on Nov 10

Doha, Oct 30: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, a socio-cultural entity affiliated to Indian Cultural Centre, under the aegis of Embassy of India, Doha, Qatar, is all set to celebrate its mega event ‘Kannada Rajyotsava’ on Friday, November 10, at the Ashoka Hall, Indian Cultural Centre, here. The programme is scheduled to start at 5 pm.

Milan Arun, president of Indian Cultural Centre, Doha, Qatar will be present as chief guest.

KMCA president Abdulla Monu said that renowned artists from Karnataka including standup comedian, Hasya Ratna Ajay Sarapure, variety entertainer Ananth Tejaswi, blind walking computer Basavaraj Umarani and standup comedian, Janapada Hasya Saradara, Jeevan Sab Binnala would  perform.


    




Ajay Sarapure, a standup comedian, renowned as 'Hasya Ratna', has performed all over Karnataka and has gained a tremendous reputation. This rajyotsava, he is set to keep the stage on fire with his entertaining skills.

Tejaswi Ananth, a variety entertainer from Bengaluru, can perform Hand Shadow act, juggling, unicycling, magic shows, eight-ring acts, and LED act among others. He can perform 16 different acts. A young and dynamic multi-skilled magician and a multi-talented entertainer know for sure to amaze audiences with his brilliant skills. He is one of India's youngest jugglers and unicyclists. He has won a national award for his magic skills in juniors' category in 2011. He has performed on nine TV channels. He was the guest performer in 'India's Biggest Magic Star' on Star One channel. He appeared in TV shows namely 'Hindustan Ke Hunar Baaz' on 'LIFE OK' and 'Entertainment Ke liye kucch be Karega' on 'Sony' channel. He has performed more than 600 shows in and across India.

Basavaraj Umarani, the Maths magician from Belgaum, renowned as The Blind Walking Computer, is another artist who will perform this Rajyotsava. Completely blind since birth, Basavaraj has never glimpsed the external world, but his mind sees and interprets things that no average person could ever perceive. He is gifted with a brain of unparalleled capacity. He has immense memory, shocking levels of perception, and mathematical and analytical skills that exceed even the greatest minds in the country. Basavaraj has been recognised by a number of major people and media houses, where he has made appearances in different forms. A long list of awards has found their way to Basavaraj Umarani, including local, state, and national awards.

Jeevan Sab Binnala, a standup comedian, who has been crowned with the title Janapada Hasya Saradara, has performed all over Karnataka and has gained enormous reputation. He is an extraordinary performer and is all set to keep the audience amazed with his comedy.

As previous years, KMCA will honour personalities who have not been recognised so far for their selfless service to the community and mankind. Words are not enough to explain their services. KMCA president Abdulla Monu said that this year’s honouring ceremony would be unique and eye catching. Former president, KMCA, and head of the advisory panel, Niyaz Ahmed said, "KMCA is steadfast in its goal to recognize talented people from the corners of Karnataka and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents to the world."

President of KMCA Abdulla Monu appealed to all the expatriate Kannadigas in Qatar to witness the spectacular programme, and extend their wholehearted support to its success.
