Mangaluru, Nov 13: Mangalore Meri Jaan, a prominent Facebook page, has announced the winners of its Cutest Kid 2017.
The most-awaited children's contest was held in association with Ideal Ice Cream, powered by Euro Kids-Kodialbail, Forum Fiza Mall, daijiworld.com and ChannelOne for three age groups with 0 to 4 years and Little Prince and Princess contest for 4 to 8 years, and 8 to 12 years respectively.
Valonia D’Souza has bagged the top prize in the Cutest Kid contest, while Gia Nazareth has won the first runner-up spot, and Prisha Puneeth, the second runner-up prize.
Himansh S has been adjudged the most Charming Kid, while Smayan Yogish Shetty and Vihaani have bagged the Cute Smile award.

Little Prince and Little Princess is a competition conducted for the 4th consecutive year by Mangalore Meri Jaan, a well-known page on Facebook that promotes culture, tradition, beauty, emotions, and food of Mangaluru.
The photos were judged by prominent model-actor-anchor Saujanya Hegde, ‘Mrs Popular’ at Mrs India Worldwide 2017, Anuraj Bangera, Coastalwood actor, Sathish Era, an ace photographer of the state’s leading daily Udayavani, and Dayanand Kukkaje, a much known-name and an ace photographer of Daijiworld media.
The judges had a tough time selecting the winners out of more than 2,000 entries. Making the selection process clean and effective, the pictures gaining ‘auto-likes’ on Facebook were out rightly rejected.
In the ‘Cutest Kid’ category, each photo with 150 likes qualified to the second round, including five contestants who were given a wild card entry.
The contestants of ‘Little Prince 2017’ and ‘Little Princess 2017’ will have to go through a similar process like the ‘Cutest Kid’ category. Five contestants will be given wild card entry to the second round by the judges. The photos should get a minimum of 150 likes to qualify for the next round. The participant qualifiing for the final round will have a round of competition at Forum Fiza Mall on November 18 and 19.
To the send all of them happy, the kids shortlisted for the final round will be given certificates in all the categories.
Prizes will be distributed to the winners at Forum Fiza mall on November 18 and 19.
