M'lore: Managaing Partner of M/s James & Co. George D’Souza Passed Away

Mangalore, Jun 29: George D’Souza (74), the managing partner of the well-known footwear and leather goods dealers - M/s James & Co. Falnir, here breathed his last on Saturday June 28 morning after a brief period of illness.

He strived hard during the initial years of the M/s James & Company, now a footwear landmark company of Manglaore and coastal districts. He was in business for over 50 years.



In recognition of his services to the footwear and leather industry, the Global Economic Council of New Delhi has awarded him “Rashtriya Ekta Award” in 2000, at a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad on June 23, 2000.

He was a philanthropist and helped many worth causes in the Diocese of Mangalore and elsewhere.

He is survived by his wife Marie, sons Kevin, Rohan, Naveen and daughter Lareen.
