'Brij Mohan Amar Rahe' inspired by bizarre case in Haryana: Director

Mumbai, Nov 21 (IANS): Upcoming film "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe" is inspired by a bizarre case that took place in Haryana, says its director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat.

The film, which features Arjun Mathur, Sheetal Thakur, Nidhi Singh and Manav Vij, is produced by SaReGaMa Yoodlee Films.

"India is a country with bizarre cases and incidents where we get to hear weird news on a daily basis and 'Brij Mohan Amar Rahe' is inspired by one such case in Haryana which I stumbled upon during my research. We have taken inspiration from this and more such bizarre cases and weaved it into an entertaining black comedy," Bhat said in a statement.

The plot of the film revolves around a man who is convicted of his own murder. Brij Mohan fakes his own death in a pursuit to escape and revive his boring life. He gets the money and the girl until the inevitable hand of Karma gets him sentenced to death for his own murder, the statement read.
