Bangalore, Jul 1: Pramila Nesargi, the newly appointed chairperson of the state womens' commission has said, that the commission contemplates making recommendations towards making it easier to get divorce. This is felt necessary because of a spate of suicides, dometstic violence, abductions etc., that take place because of the complexities involved in getting a divorce. In many cases, the couple are forced to live together inspite of not willing to do so, as the process of getting a divorce is not at all easy, resulting in harassment and humiliation of the weaker sex most of the time.

She said, the commission is pooling statistics and other details for placing a clearer picture about the stark reality before the government and urging it to bring neessary ammendments to the law. If she has her way, one of the reasons for seeking divorce can be the feeling of love a person experiences for some other person and his/her desire of to live with those they love, she explained.

It may be recalled that in cases of abduction, death, murder, fleeing with the paramour etc., frequently reported in cases like those of Padmapriya, Priyanka Hundi from Mumbai who eloped with her paramour and also murder of his wife by Bangalore based techie Amit Budiraj who was driven by doubts about her character, seem to have taken place because the couple were unable to get separated inspite of long drawn complications among them, because of complex divorce laws and the perceived social stigma of getting separated.

Dear Lady friends, Please try to empower women instead of making the divorce procedure easy, divorce means breaking families and what about the children who remain without parents love? They will later on become deliquents in the society. Instead empowering women would build families and bring about peace avoiding death and misery in various families.
