Udupi: News follow Atul Rao Even When Lodged in Jail!

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jul 3: Atul appears to be going through a bad patch of late. Whatever he does or does not do, hits the headlines. The protests being staged on the roads by various organisations and individuals in Padmapriya death case, enetered the Udupi sub-jail where Atul, remanded to judicial custody till July 6, is currently lodged.

Atul, who was in and out of several hospitals since the last couple of weeks, had finally been housed at the Udupi sub-jail on Tuesday, July 1 after being discharged from the KMC Hospital Manipal.  On the morning of Wednesday July 2, some undertrials came out of their cells and staged a protest, demanding that Atul be shifted out of the jail.

The jail officials immediately visited the spot and informed the agitators that they would refer this demand to the judicial magistrate and abide by whatever decision he takes. If they continue with their protests, they would have to face the legal consequences, they warned. It is learnt that peace returned in the jail after this warning.

This small sub-jail with seven rooms, has been home to about 50 undertrials. Tahsildar V B Fernandes who was approached for details on the reported assault on Atul, said that nothing of the kind had ever happened. There were reports that the other jail inmates were agitated over the fact that Atul received VIP treatment and that he was allowed to have food cooked at his home and that they had snatched his food and assaulted him.

The jail officials are learnt to have approached the Udupi chief civil judge on the evening of Wednesday July 2, for permission to shift him to Mangalore jail. Orders may be passed on the issue today.

It is gathered, that Atul's wife has complained to the court saying that Atul was not properly cared for by the hospitals and that he was not given necessary treatments. Alleging that Atul's life is at risk, she has asked for shifting him to a jail elsewhere.

Why is Atul under arrest? Is it because Mr.Raghupati Bhat does not want him to talk to the press? HIs wife is dead and gone but this man has his family. Why is'nt he allowed to talk to the media?Padmapriya used to frequent Atul's house.HIs wife was aware of everything. He was only trying to help a woman in distress,is that wrong?Raghupati Bhat is upto some thing.HE is trying to fool the people around him but for how long. His conscience will prick him.He is fit to be an actor. One day the truth will come out.The media should get to the truth.

This man,Raghupati should not be left so easily. The police are like puppets, dancing to Bhat's tunes. They are not fit to be called men. They protect these corrupted politicians. We all believe in Punar Janam and moksha. All our deeds good or bad will be rewarded here only.I am sure Mr.Bhat who is a pure brahamin is aware of this.

Whoever he is, when he in the jail treat him like other inmates. Why Atul shall be allowed food from home? Instead let him go home. Why top keep in jail, hospital of his choice. Treat him like other murderers or let him go free. Why tax payers money has to be spent on useless things?
