Bengaluru: Willing to go to jail if corruption charges are proved – Congress chief

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Nov 27: KPCC president Dr G Parameshwara on Monday November 27 challenged BJP leaders to prove the allegations of corruption they have made against the state government headed by chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah in a court of law.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Congress party convention here.

“If the allegations are proven in a court, then the party leaders will be ready to g to jail. There is no use in making allegations each day,” he said challenging the BJP leadership.

“The answer to BJP's allegations will be given by the voters in the state. The Congress party has the satisfaction of having fulfilled the promises made by the leaders in the last election in 2013 and also the confidence that no mistakes had been committed. We will go back to the people and win the upcoming 2018 election also," he declared.

Speaking on the same occasion, law and parliamentary affairs minister T B Jayachandra said, "BJP's Parivarthana Yatra got punctured on the first day itself. Now the party is trying to resolve internal differences. The Yatra has not indicated any positive developmental changes. Instead, it has become an exercise for BJP leaders to criticize CM Siddaramaiah, energy minister D K Shivakumar and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwara,"

Energy minister D K Shiva Kumar and his brother MP D K Suresh also spoke during the convention.

I feel Congress leaders are more HONEST and GENUINE than BJP leaders in Karnataka. Under the leadership of Sri Seetharamiah Karnataka is making good progress. I am sure he will get one more term to rule the state. I am really happy with the rule of Sri Seetharamiah.

I have some doubt about the heading of this article..Willing to go if corruption charges are proved...That means there are curruption charges and if proved the judiciary will put him in without his will.Anyway Indian judiciary is very slow and favour politicians. It take so long time to find them guilty by then these culprits are no more.
