Funds handed over to Snehasadan

Mangaluru, Nov 27: ICYM Jeppu Church unit organized inter-parish variety entertainment programme Talentia 2K 17 on 26 November in aid of HIV patients at Sneha Sadan Gurpur. 216 participants from 13 parishes actively took part in various competitions. Rosario Parish took away Talentia 2k 17 trophy and cash prize.

Fr Joseph Martis, Rector of St Joseph Seminary spoke on the occasion and lauded the effort of ICYM members for organizing an event for the cause of HIV patients. Sneha Sadan director Fr Teji Thomas MI was present on the occasion and he shared his experience of working with HIV patients. The funds collected for the HIV patients were handed over to the director of Snehasadan during the programme.





Nostalgia trio top 12 – Star Plus TV Reality Show performers - Gavin Rodrigues and Nicky Pinto were felicitated during the programme. Later Nostalgia stars Nicky and Gavin enthralled the crowd with their fantabulous performance. Jeppu parish children thrilled the crowd with their dance performance. Huge Crowd witnessed the event.

ICYM director Fr Nelson Dalmeida, Sr Sylvia Fernandes, parish vice president Philomena D’Silva, secretary Gretta Carvalho , ICYM animator Michael D’Souza, ICYM president Viola D’Silva, vice-president Denzil D’Souza and secretary Teena Pashao were present on occasion.

Nishmitha D’Souza and Rovina Dalmeida compered the programme.

Results of the competitions are as follows:

1. Quiz: I - Urwa Parish II – Paladka Parish & III – Rosario Parish.
2. Face Painting: I- Ashoknagar Parish II- Bajal Parish & III – Cordel Parish.
3. Photography: I- Cascia Parish II- Derebail Parish & III- Rosario Parish.
4. Ramp Walk: I – Rosario Parish II- Derebail Parish & III- Cordel Parish.
5. Comedy Act: I – Paladka Parish II- Rosario Parish & III- Cordel Parish.
6. Dance: I- Cordel Parish II- Permannur Parish & III- Derebail Parish.
