Beltangady: House owner tied up, valuables, cash worth lacs robbed

Beltangady, Nov 29: In an incident that came to light on Wednesday November 29, robbers tied up the owner of a house at his home, and decamped with gold ornaments, cash and other items.

The incident happened late night on Tuesday November 28 near Patrame within the limits of Dharmasthala police station.

The items robbed include gold ornaments, areca nut stock etc from the house of Nagesh Prasad (38).

It is learnt that three ATM cards found at the house were used to withdraw money from ATM. The value of items so robbed runs into lacs of rupees.

It is believed that the robbers closely followed the owner when he was going home, and tied him up once he reached there.

Dharmasthala police visited the spot, conducted spot inspection and began the probe.
