TV Daijiworld Anchor Kirti Mohan Makes Mangalore Proud - Wins MTV Contest

Mangalore, Jul 5: Kirti Mohan, popular anchor of TV Daijiworld has made not only his family and college proud, but has also made entire Mangalore feel proud by his stupendous achievement at the national-level.

Kirti has won the prestigious 'Intel Centrino Presents MTV on the Job Contest-2' conducted by MTV recently in New Delhi defeating two other formidable contestants.

Humbling his opponents in a tough contest, Kirti Mohan, a second year student of SDM Law College here, succeeded in beating his three opponents in the finals. The show primarily concentrates on off beat careers and is very popular with young viewers. After attending an audition in Mumbai in May this year, Kirti was selected for anchoring news.

Recently he was asked to complete a task assigned to him by 'Headlines Today' by going to New Delhi and he succeeded in proving his capabilities there too. Kirti has brought laurels to the city by being the only contestant to reach the finals of the event from south India.

The jury made up of veterans like Pritish Nandy, Headlines Today chief editor Gaurav Sawant and MTV VJ Nikhil Chinnappa unanimously declared him a winner, afer watching video footings.

Kirti has won a HP laptop and an internship with Headlines Today, a press release from his college said. The show is set to be telecast on July 13 at 7 pm.
