Udupi: Rs 4 crore spent for Dharma Sansad - 20 percent deficit

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Dec 2: Around Rs 4 crore has been spent on the Dharma Sansad session that was held at Udupi from November 24 to 26. Though the estimated expenditure was Rs 5.5 crore, the amount was reduced significantly because of strict monitoring of expenses.

"The food expense, which amounted to Rs 70 lac, was borne by Shri Krishna Math. Out of the remaining Rs 3.3 crores spent, only 60 percent was received through funds from devotees and well-wishers. We have also got assurance from the devotees that 20 percent of the remaining amount would be borne by them. However, the deficit still remains," said P Vilas Nayak, treasurer.

Eight north Indian seers who had come for the Dharma Sansad are still in Udupi and are visiting various holy places. They are residing in the guest house in the vicinity of Shri Krishna Math.

We should not question why 4 crores, all religions/political parties spend for the events part of gathering, but my questions is why this dharma sansadh is working on BJP agenda rather than making a normal Hindu as Good Hindu, who can understand faith, adhyathma, spirituality, history, hundmanity etc what Hindu religion teaches so that peace can prevail in the society rather making hate speeches against minorities than what is the difference between these organisers and Pakistani terrorists who make use of only hatred, sow and reap hatred only .

Rs 4 crore spent to spreading, hate. Instead should have been distributed among the poor and elderly who are suffering because of Modi's demonetization and GST.

Why non Hindus should comment on HINDU DHAMA SANSAD"
for which HINDU ppl offered their contribution.we have not
asked or Govt has given any contribution .rather govt collects
from HINDU TEMPLES and give from that collection to churches
and Masjid and also for Haj
Regarding "brhminisum" I would like to state nobody has forced any
rituals on anybody . Hinduism is the only religion which allows you to
perform Ur beleif as per ones wishes

That 4 crores they would have spent on Backward Hindu's girls Marriage, education, health etc. BJP would have got more votes but that 4 crore invested just to deliver hate Speach against one particular community ! this shows how they are fooling the HINDU Community.

    Costs Rs 5 Crore plus???
what is achieved for society ???

There are so many poor hindus who cannot afford medical care /education!!!!, this amount would have helped 1000 poor students!!!

I am for stronger Hindu society that is free from blind communal-ism, un untouchability, and equality to women and daliths in our society.

I thought they would come out with unifying formula for our samaj and not toe the lines of a political party that only wants to stir controversies by taking about temple during elections???

the so called seers both our own and north Indian, when will they see and open their Ajna chakra to bring equality in our society and abolish chaturvana system????

When will branhminical system appoint dalith priests at their temples???
Then would transcend all differences and bring some level playing field

In my opinion what these so called dharma sansad did was picnic for these saffron clad men from north and south on the behest of my own party BJP!!
Now i know when elections are near all this domarata happens!!

People have woken up from sleep/slumber, majority of Hindus are moderate and well educated thank fully, you will get the answer through ballot astra....sooon.

    Here are the some controversies hate speeches made in the Dharma Sansad;
Why the constitution has different law for Hindus, Muslims different? Therefore constitution need to be amended- Pejawar Swamiji

In Ayodhya other than Ram Mandir we will not allow any other construction is allowed- Mohan Bhagwat

Dear Hindu youths, instead of Mobile take 'Talwar' in your hands- Narendranath Sarswathi

Those who left Hinduism must come back. Ghar wapsi is must - Surendar Jain

For Kannadigas Kannada language and Kannada nadu is available. Change Kannada flag, Hold on to Kannda saffron Kannada flag with red- MP Shobha Karandlaje

Before 2019 we will construct Ram Mandir- Mohan Bhagwat and Pejawar Swamiji

Hindu should have at least four kids- Govind Maharaj

Do this 'Dharma Sansad' and 'Hindu Samajotsava' really got any benefit for the downtrodden poor Hindus? It is time for devout Hindus to retrospect who do not have anything to with this political motivated rallies from the grants collected from public to use against public.

These imported Swamis from North India come to Udupi to come provocative speech and ask Hindus youths take weapons to protect religion is unacceptable.

When nation is not even have enough 'toilets' and 'baths' for ladies who are abused every 15 minutes, this lavish spending would have given many an employment, education, cleared hospital bills, ration for months and so on.

Udupi once known for pioneer for banking industry, higher education, environmentalist know fast became springboard for communal politics.

It is time for Hindus retrospect about this 'Brahminical' hegemony using Udupi mutt. At the same time government should appoint 'Dalits' in the same line of Kerala who are misusing the religious institute and promote untouchability. Also intellectual Hindus should question these Swamiji's why their youth should take 'Talwar' instead of education?

Money spent for this conclave not come from Government, donation of devotees, nobody has anything to bother about, if someone points out for waste of money or wanted expenses, why don't they ask their darling CM for celebrating Tippu Jayanti amid people's protest ? why is the need to go to Haj, when you have mosques at your own town, this money can be given to needy poor, children's education, poor girls marriage. Rs.4 Crore is nothing for such a mammoth event, if government would have conducted this, the expenses could have been 40 Crores, we all know where all the rest money goes.

Most of the people attended are nothing to do with this type of political or sansads. They were given food and some other financial benefits. Last year I was in Udupi and I asked my texi driver for some work and he told that he is busy. I asked him what is the work..... He told me there is some political parties gathering is there and we have to bring about each trip 6 person to this gathering and we will get money according to our people attending the gathering...... The political parties wants more people to show that their gathering was successful and welcomed by the people. Most of these gathering without any benefit to the ordinary people...... Just expenditure.

What a big deal if it's used for good purpose that to the amount is borne by the Math & the devotees.
When government can spend crores & crores of Tax payer money to celebrate Tyrant Tipu Jayanthi.....why not Dharma Sansad, that to by devotees....
Tipu Jayanthi created riots, protests & killed people in the name of his Jayanthi...
But here is a peaceful event by Hindus...

Hemanth we are not talking about any festival celebrations here. Religious fesitvals everyone celebrates, they all spend and enjoy. Even temples, churches, Mosques are constructed for religious purpose to worship that is also fine. But why spend for this Hindu Samjyosava, why do we Hindus feel insecure when we are already in majority in India.
