Amruta reminds me of Urmila: Ahmed Khan


Mumbai, Dec 2 (IANS): Choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan, who will feature as a special guest on "Dance India Dance Season 6", says Amruta Khanvilkar -- the host of the dance reality TV show -- reminds him of actress Urmila Matondkar.

After watching a few performances on the show, Ahmed got nostalgic and recalled how he choreographed Urmila for the popular song "Rangeela re".

When Amruta asked him about his experience working with Urmila, Ahmed said: "Firstly, I have to say that you remind me of Urmila Matondkar. She was one actor who could perform any step with grace and making it look unique."

"Dance India Dance Season 6", which features Marzi Pestonji, Mini Pradhan, Mudassar Khan as judges, is aired on Zee TV.

Manan Joshi joins 'Kaal Bhairav Rahasya'

Actor Manan Joshi has been roped in to play the character of Shamsher in TV show "Kaal Bhairav Rahasya".

"To say how happy I am would be an understatement. I am always excited to reach my workplace because I know there are are going to be so much fun moments and that is a blessing in itself," Manan said in a statement.

"On my first day, I didn't feel like it is my first day on the set. Everybody from my director to co-actors was so supportive. Even the senior actors whom we have always looked up to since we were kids, are also fun and so welcoming.

"It really feels like a blessing working with such a crew," he added.

"Kaal Bhairav Rahasya", which also features Rahul Sharma and Chhavi Pandey, airs on Star Bharat.

Watched ‘Ezel' 35 times for TV role: Sumit Bharadwaj

Actor Sumit Bharadwaj says he watched Turkish TV series "Ezel" for over 30 times to prepare for his role of Krishna in TV show "Ayushaman Bhava".

"I am elated to be part of ‘Ayushaman Bhava'. I am seen playing the character of Krishna -- the grown up version of (actor) Ricky Patel. Krishna is the best character till date from the ones that I have played till now," Sumit said in a statement.

"Ricky has done a commendable job and it was a challenging task for me to get into his shoes. To get in to the skin of the character, I thoroughly followed ‘Ezel' and watched it 35 times," he added.

"Ayushaman Bhava", aired on Star Bharat, depicts the story of Krish, a boy-next-door who, like children of his age, enjoys playing with toys and playing pranks.

His family and friends dote on him. But Krish's innocent life takes a turn at age 8 when he starts getting flashbacks of some unfortunate events of his previous life.
