Bangalore: BJP Playing 'Immoral politics' - Deve Gowda

Bangalore:  BJP Playing 'Immoral politics' - Deve Gowda

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Jul 8: Ex-premier and JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda has raised his voice against the 'immoral politics' of the BJP in luring legisltors from other parties into its fold. He has also revealed his plans to field consensus candidates in the by- elections,  by holding consultations with like-minded parties for defeating the sinister designs of the saffron party.

He has called upon all the secular parties to come together in a single platform to meet the challenges posed by the BJP to the survival of secularism.

"These self-styled staunch patriots have stooped so low as to split other parties to be able to continue in power. This gives ample proof of the fact that the BJP is ready to sink its principles to remain in power. During my tenure in politics spanning over several decades, I have never seen such a slump in ethics on the part of any political outfit," Gowda decried.

The BJP is in the grips of the land and mine mafias. The BJP which has been using the clout of these mafias to de-stabilise other parties will itself be doomed by these mafias. These caucuses which have been helping BJP to stick to power, will try to bring the entire state under their control for serving their selfish interests. The secular parties should come together to stop this from happening, and defeat the ulterior designs of the BJP by fielding consensus candidates during the by elections forced upon by the BJP, he advised.

When the pressmen reminded him that he had joined hands with the BJP in the past to stick to power, Gowda justified his action by dubbing his erstwhile move as a healthy politics. Those who resign from their assembly memberships for getting positions of power, will resign again if some other party forms the government. People should understand the BJP's conspiracy and teach it a fitting lesson by defeating its candidates in the by-elections, he said.

In the meantime, the BJP is learnt to have decided to restrict the number of legislators crossing over to it to six, as the leaders are facing strong resentment from the senior legislators of the party who are peeved at the special treatment being meted out to the recently inducted members of the party and also because of a lurking fear that the defectors may in future form their own group and engage in anti-party activities.

The leaderships of the Congress and the JD (S) are learnt have initiated damage control exercises to stop more legislators and leaders from joining the BJP. The appeasement process of the members who are on the verge of defecting to the BJP is on. The first signs of such a process came from the Congress which rushed union coal minister Santosh Bagrodia to the state capital. Bagrodia directly headed to the home of ex-chief minister Siddaramaiah as soon as he landed in the city.

Dear Mr Gowda, Why don't you go and sleep just as you used to do at public forums while you were the PM. What happned to your ethics when you dumped the congress party to make your son the Chief Minister. What happened to your ethics when you stabbed the BJP in the back when it was time for them to take power.

The BJP was nothing in Karnataka. Had you been an ethical character then the BJP would never have come to power in Karnataka. The whole situation is your making, so don't come out now with moral posturing. They have been elected, so let them govern. It is the people who will decide if these MLA's have to be re elected or not.

You and your family please try to save your skins beacuse very soon a lot of cases relating to corruption are going to come out against you, your family and your chamchas. It is also time that you and your clan disappeared from politics as the people of Karnataka are fed up of your misdeeds.

Does he follow that or has he followed in his tenure, BJP would not have come to power. This is all your creation Mr. Gowda and i feel you and congress doesnt have any chance to come up again in karnataka!!!!

Dear Mr. Deve Gowda, You are perfectly right what you say as you have the best experience and you have also showed others the way. Your should be the last of people to point his fingers on others. Your government has ruined Karnataka and others might worsten the situation no doubt but can the BJP do without a majorty. One other possibility would be to join hands with your party. Then its going to be a dooms day from the begining. The present situation is risky 50/50%. Better take a risk then go down the drain.

We have everything less in day-today life. Food is –fatless, Actor is- cloth less, Telephone is-cordless, Mobile is –wireless, Thief is –fearless, Politicians are – shameless Politicians have a sharp tongue to justify their own wrongs and to criticize others wrongs. Long live Indian politicians, we have no choice but to elect a thug or a criminal or a thief or a fraud.
