Udupi, Dec 15: District in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that there are attempts to cause unrest by the opposition to win next elections.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, December 15, he said that some people have prepared to indulge in violence on suggestions from Amith Shah. “Such act by an MP is not justifiable. The voters will take suitable decision about it,” he said.

Speaking about Gujarat election survey, he said that there is a difference between Gujarat and Karnataka. “The election results in Gujarat will not affect Karnataka election results. Let us wait for the results in Gujarat. Let Modi and Amith Shah come for election campaign. Let us not start disturbance,” he said.

“There is no question of differences in between Congress leaders. The Chief Minister goes only to places where there are Congress MLAs. G Parameshwar goes to the places where there are opposition party MLAs,” he informed.

Regarding dissatisfaction with veteran Congress leader Jaffer Sharief, he said that he is the grandfather in the house. “Grandfathers in all houses cause some irritation. Senior Congress leaders will pacify him,” he said.
