Mumbai, Dec 19 (IANS): Actress Guddi Maruti has been roped in to play the role of Dulari Devi in the new TV show "Hum Paanch Ab Aaega Asli Mazaa".

Guddi, who has previously appeared in films like "Shola Aur Shabnam", "Chhote Sarkar" and "Dulhe Raja", will be seen as actor Sooraj Thapar's onscreen mother in the show, which is the new season of "Hum Paanch Phir Se"

"I feel great to be a part of such an entertaining show. The actors have truly made their mark in a short span of time and I am really looking forward to add to the excitement quotient of the viewers with my entry in the new season," Guddi said in a statement.

"We had great fun shooting in Varanasi as it was like a fun cum work trip for all of us," she added.

"Hum Paanch Phir Se" was a sequel to popular 1990s show "Hum Paanch". It also featured Jayashree Venkataramanan, Seema Pandey, Ambalika Sapra and Ruchi Tripathi.

"Hum Paanch Ab Aaega Asli Mazaa" will be aired on BIG Magic.
