Mysuru, Dec 20: Perhaps overwhelmed by joy at the outcome of Gujarat election, BJP MP representing the local constituency, Pratap Simha, enthusiastically reacted to a tweet that emanated from Twitter handle, @SaraKhan, believing it to be genuine. In response to the tweet that Rahul Gandhi happens to be that rich kind who can run his family business by securing 35 percent marks, whereas Narendra Modi is that poor kid who needs to score 99 percent every time to survive, Simha tweeted, "see the level of understanding actor Saif Ali Khan's daughter is showing, which is lacking in grey haired and bald-headed journos and political pundits."

Simha later deleted his tweet after finding that his own level of understanding had faltered in this case. The said Twitter handle which claims itself to be the official Twitter page of actress Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, happens to be known widely as a fake Twitter account which mostly comes out with pro-BJP and anti Congress and AAP tweets. The tweets in this account are most often deleted. It is learnt that the profile of this account has since been changed as Rani Mukherjee@StarRaniMukherjee.

Surprisingly, Twitter has not taken any action against this account that has been proved to be fake, and the number of its followers in the meantime, is growing.

Earlier tweets from this account had opposed triple talaaq system, denounced those who hold Hindu belief systems to be superstition, and supported GST regime. BoomLive, an online news site, had contacted mother of Sara, Amrita Saignh, who confirmed that her daughter did not have a Twitter account.
