Shobha speaks on deaths of BJP, RSS workers in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, Dec 22: BJP Member of Parliament from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Shobha Karandlaje, on Thursday, December 21, raised the issue of killings of BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Karnataka, in the Lok Sabha.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Shobha said that 20 Hindu activists of the RSS and BJP have been killed in Karnataka.

She alleged that coastal Karnataka and coastal Kerala had become a hotbed of ‘Jihadi’ activities.

"International terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and several of his accomplices have been arrested from coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Now, the Jihadi forces are killing Hindu activists in large numbers," she told the Lok Sabha.

She also had a brief exchange of words with some CPI(M) members.

Shobha referred to the arrest of Popular Front of India (PFI) activists in connection with the murder of RSS worker Rudresh in Bengaluru and the recent murder of young fisherman Paresh Mesta at Honnavar in Uttara Kannada district.

    In the past list of “Hindu victims” prepared by firebrand BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje has triggered a controversy as she has deliberately avoided the names of several innocent Hindus murdered by saffron extremists and granted ‘martyrdom’ to a poor man, who is (fortunately) still alive.
    The list of “murdered” Hindus begins with the name of Ashok Poojary, who according to Karandlaje, was killed in Moodbidri on September 20, 2015. However, Ashok is still alive and healthy. “What? Who murdered me? I am still alive!” responded 33-year-old Ashok when coastaldigest.com contacted him and brought Karandlaje’s bizarre claim to his notice.
    Vaman Poojary, who had committed suicide near his daughter’s house in Moodbidri on October 15, 2015, has also found a place in the list of murdered Hindus.
    According to Karandjale, Vaman was murdered on September 20, 2015. However, he was alive for four more weeks (until committing suicide)! According to police, who had considered Vaman to be a witness in Prashant Poojary murder case, the former was not attacked by anyone.
    Karandlaje has shown no hesitation to include the name of Karthik Raj in her list. An engineering graduate, Karthik Raj was murdered during his jogging routine on October 22, 2016 under the limits of Konaje police station in Mangaluru taluk.
    However, the arrest of the real culprits in April this year, was a tight slap in the face of BJP. The killers were the sister of the victim, her boyfriend and his younger brother. Ironically, all of them were Hindutva activists.
    Ravi Magali, a local leader of BJP Yuva Morcha was killed in a road mishap in Mysuru on November 4, 2016 while he was returning from a bar in an inebriated state. The list includes his name too.

    This is election time and the time to spew venom on ruling party for vote bank.
    She is doing her best to find fault with the ruling party as per her party strategy.
    Please note we cannot generalize all the murders taken place in the state.
    Every murder irrespective of religion has a story behind the same.
    It is meaningless or childish to blindly blame any group or organization.
    It is an all time truth that most of the cases are politically motivated.
    We all know who has been doing it and why, I do not want to elaborate.
    It is in our own hands to control this than playing the blame game.

    She is making a mockery of the trust the people reposed in her. I understand she hails from Dakshina Kannada, a district known for educated people. Although she is said to be well educated, look at the pitiable manner in which she is conducting herself. The only thing that comes out of her mouth is RSS, BJP, Yeddyurappa, communal divide and so on. With all this in her mind, where is the place to talk about doing something good for the people who elected her?

    This is why she was voted and made an MP, to spew communal hatred. If you actually look at murders I don't think so there is any difference in the numbers. Most people get murdered cos of their own mistake of joining organizations which already have issues. It might be any religion for that matter, people shouldn't become fanatics, have the feeling of brotherhood, the feeling of being an Indian is enough. All these useless politicians only know to divide people, ESP now that elections are approaching. Like Yogi has given a call of Tippu sultan v/s Hanuman yesterday, does that even make sense? DNT let these hate mongers let you make their puppets people, we vote for developments and these people only wake up in the last few months before elections. Till then they are busy pleasing communal organizations, inaugurating functions and nonsense. Think before you vote..!!
