Koppal, Dec 25: “The constitution says that we have to follow secularism. But the constitution has been amended every now and then as per requirement. It will be done in future also. We have come to power to change the constitution and we will do so,” said Union Minister for Skill Development Ananth Kumar Hegde.

The minister was speaking after launching the website and women's wing of Brahmana Yuva Parishat in Kukanur of Yalburga taluk near here on Sunday, December 24.

“People without any pedigree are identifying themselves as secularists. If a person identifies himself as a Muslim, Christian, Brahmin, Hindu, it means that he knows what his blood is. But, I do not know how to identify these secularists. I have some doubts on their blood. They do not know the culture and traditions. Those who do not have any pedigree designate themselves as secularists," he ridiculed.

"I presume there are no secularists here. Identify yourself with our caste or creed. You know what your blood is," he added.

“Currently Ambedkar’s constitution is in force. It will see a change. We are committed to change the constitution,” he said.

The Supreme Court of India ruled the basic structure of the Constitution cannot be changed. Fellow travelers of the RSS want to change the character of the Constitution by abrogating the protection of minority rights.

The Republic is governed in terms of the Constitution of India which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949 and came into force on 26th January, 1950. This Constitution is Supreme and it has given me the right of Equality and FREEDOM of CHOICE to choose my Religion. I am PROUD to be an INDIAN.
You RSS talk about converting India (Bharat) into Hindu Rashtra but fail to accept that Indian Constitution is Supreme; which offers “FREEDOM OF CHOICE” to every citizen to practice their own religion. CONSTITUTION of INDIA is OUR SACRED BOOK guided by the VALUES of JUSTICE, LIBERTY, EQUALITY & FRATERNITY. Therefore, your call to convert the Country into HINDU RASHTRA certainly goes against the tenets of Indian Constitution, which can be termed as ANTI NATIONAL, in my opinion.
I am pity for BJP that he is the only choice for Skill Development of nation. He has already proved his skill while attacking Doctors attending patients just because he is MP and he has all rights to attack for not attending his mother given priority.
Mr. Modi’s addressed the Lok Sabha as part of the commemoration of the Constitution to mark the 125th birth anniversary year of the chairman of its drafting committee Dr. B.R. Ambedkar he said that the religion of the government was “India first” and the Constitution its “holy book.” He further said it must have been difficult to form a Constitution for a nation as diverse as India.
Ambedkar faced insults all his life, it colors a person’s intentions. But no where in Constitution does any of that reflect. He also said, the spirit of this Constitution debate is not “you” or “I”, it is “We”.
But his Skill development minister wanted to destroy the same 'Holy book' by striking out 'we' by insulting the Father of Constitution.
If PM Modi and BJP believes constitution is the spirit of nation as 'Holy book' why Hegde wanted to change sacrilege of the same?
He took oath by swearing Indian constitution.Will he respect by its word?

Politicians have conflicting agenda when it comes to the constitution which is supposed to govern society in accordance with just principles of law regardless of caste, race, religion, or gender. Various groups clamour changes to advance their own interests. SC/ST/OBC are a prime example - a time-bound system is perpetuated by those in power for the time being, not for any altruistic reasons but to gain advantage of the votes of these so-labelled backward classes or dalits or harijans or whatever appellation they bear. At least, so far, no party has advocated a theocratic state as has Pakstan - that will be the day when all hell will break loose. Nor have women secured constitutional entitlement to reservation based on their numbers - that will also be the day to reckon!
God bless India on this Christian New Year 2018 and keep it safe from sectarian violence as well as from external aggression.

It is sad to know that for gaining votes , we do not hesitate to divide the people in a very miserable way!! Its shocking.. Voters become just fools based on temporary emotions stirred by few people. We are doing everything wrong on the pretext of Deshbhakhti. My personal views :
This is the ultimate aim of PM Modi, the BJP, the RSS and the rest of the Sangh Parivar i.e. to make India a Hindu Rashtra which they can achieve only by changing the Constitution of India given to us by our founding fathers.
It is not just Congress Mukht Bharat that they want but they want a complete Opposition Mukht Bharat. Since the Congress party is the only party to oppose them on a nation wide scale hence the Congress party is their main target.
It is precisely for this reason of wanting to change the Constitution of India to make India a Hindu Rashtra that they are so desperate to have all the States in India under the rule of the BJP or their allies. That way they can have complete control over the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha so that they can change the law easily to give them authority to change the Constitution of India in such a manner to enable the making of a Hindu Rashtra.
Desperation by the BJP and the Sangh parivar to have a Uniform civil code has got nothing to do with social equality. It is just a means and one of the foundation stones leading to the making of a Hindu Rashtra.
Thank you Mr. A.K. Hegde for spilling out the beans in the open. True colours of the BJP and Sangh parivar are out in the open. Those who are perceptive enough already knew about it but now even common citizens who are not so conversant with politics will also know it.
