Mangaluru: Poojary sheds tears during Kudroli temple visit, confronts Rajashekhar Kotian

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 26: Former union minister, Janardhana Poojary, who was known for electrifying movements even during his advanced age and who performed 'Urulu Seve' regularly and actively around the sanctum sanctorum of Kudroli temple without fail during the annual festival of the temple, looks very weak now. Poojary, who had surprised many in the past by touring 24 places in Dakshina Kannada district on a single day, was seen shedding tears as he walked inside Kudroli temple complex.

Poojary had come to Kudroli to inaugurate 'Hasiru Horekanike' dispatched on behalf of Kudroli Lord Gokarnanatheshwara temple to Brahmakalashotsava of Kankanady Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garodi on Monday evening. On his arrival, he directly went to his office in the first floor.

Although he came back five minutes later and slowly placed steps in the company of his well-wishers, it was apparent that he had difficulty to even move ahead. He stopped briefly at the main door of the temple, refused assistance from close people when they opted to help him. He prostrated before the Lord with difficulty, stood again, and wiped his tears with his kerchief. He then slowly walked towards the main gate of the temple and inaugurated the 'Horekanike' procession.

Poojary saw actor Rajashekhar Kotian who had recently plunged into politics, during the inauguration of Horekanike procession. He told Kotian that he had committed a mistake. "You have chosen to be in the company of people who insulted me. This act is impossible to be condoned. You can visit the temple after admitting your guilt and seeking apology from the Lord," he said in a voice choked with emotions. Kotian chose not to react, and offered his respects to Poojary.

Although he wanted to walk with the procession, at the advice of his close people, Poojary returned to the temple.

Sometimes its funny to think that you are the doer ..A Really religious person will never blame or accuse anyone of backstabbing ..He/she will silently wish everyone good and bless them ..even their worst adversaries...
Every thing changes ..you and me do not own anything on this planet..even our good deeds ..everything is temporary and keeps changing ..I am sure the actor did not mean to hurt anyone ..he has his life to lead and needs to act according to his circumstances ..
There is no need to bring in the lord for such petty issues ..better to thank the lord unconditionally and move on..every situation is a lesson learnt ..no need of much fuss.
Wishing Mr poojary and others good health and happiness.

It is Poojary's turn to shed his own tears after having made all the bankers to shed buckets of tears in harassment during this heinous & autocratic rule as Minister of State for Finance during the years from 1982 to 1987.

very honest & clean politician is Mr.Janaradhan Poojary. but corrupt congress party unable to respect this gentleman since they cant find the difference between corruption & corruption fee honest person. there could be ideology difference between BJP & Congress but even they respect Jannanna. in many occasion we saw that Mr.Nalin Kumar Kateel wished JP & got the blessings. Kateel always respect JP. unfortunately congress people ignored this legend & insulted him. this is really not acceptable for DK people. corruption/money disturbed the relationship.

Please recall that Mr. Poojary lost the election several times even though Congress gave him the ticket and supported him. It is his own community which did not vote for him. If you look at the demographic breakup in his constituency, there was no way he could have lost even if he got around 10,000 votes from his community. Now people shed crocodile tears and blame Congress, what an irony!

It is people like Mr. Janardhan Poojary who help us have that last bit of respect for the politicians. When we look around, all we find are corrupt politicians who enter politics to feather their own nest. They are least bothered about the poor and their only aim is to garner wealth. Against this backdrop comes Mr. Poojary who has always remained accessible offering a helping hand to the needy and the downtrodden. One of the very few non corrupt persons in politics today, I wish this man good health and a long life. Other corrupt politicians belonging to both the Congress and the BJP (and there so many from our own district), please take a leaf out of his book and do something for the poor people. Take a new year's oath to stop your corrupt practices.

So many years of political career and service to people finally coming to an end. Of late he could not even enjoy or muster the support of people in politics and press meets too did not yield any expected effect in solving the problems. May be in view of growing age, he could continue with social organization.

    Dear Mohammed,
I am a follower of BJP, but i trust JP for his sincerity. From politics he earned nothing. His family also away from politics. just compare him with now upcoming pudaris and mari pudaries. Peoples voted for bjp party only, but not refused JP, remember it.

Boss, people voted BJP not Nalin Kumar, Jannanna is sincere and could not play communal politics, he is role model for aspiring politicians, who never compromised with his ideologies, swam against the flow.
he is subjected to humiliation from his own party, a born congressman is heart broken by the people migrated from other parties, winning or losing is a part of election politics. we are disheartened by the way our beloved Jannanna is being treated.

Honourable Sir, please do not compare Poojary with your Yeddyurappa, you never know what Poojary is, what was his status during Indira Gandhi regime, he never earned money but earned a lot of respect and love from people. If you hate Yeddy-Reddy, hate them, but never compare them with Jannanna

    Respected Jossey sir,

I agree you are congress supporter. I also agree that you support congress party even thought they have done mistakes/corruption/dividing people. but don't compare him with anybody including your Rahul also. Janardhan Poojary is corruption fee & very simple & social worker. this kind of people are very rare in politics. DK people know how he is being treated by congress party & how he was insulted by you Rai.
