Mangaluru, Dec 27: Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) have expressed their condemnation to DJ parties, indecent dances and parties where intoxicating drinks or substances are consumed on December 31, scheduled in some hotels, pubs and public places in the name of New Year.

“Love Jihad has already rampant in the district and young girls are instigated to participate in such programmes. Therefore, police department should not permit hotels or pubs to conduct such DJ parties. All the bars should be closed by 11 o'clock at night,” urged Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishat in a petition submitted to city police commissioner T R Suresh on Wednesday, December 27.   

The Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishat have stated in the petition that the police department is directly responsible for any untoward incidents.

Leaders from Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishat were present when the petition was submitted.
