Mangaluru: Deepak murder suspects are not BJP members as alleged, says Palemar

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Jan 5: Former minister and senior BJP leader Sri Krishna Palemar has issued a press statement condemning the allegations that Deepak Rao’s murder suspects are BJP members. He has asked the general public not to pay heed to wrong and baseless news.

Deepak Rao, a BJP activist, was murdered in Katipalla on January 3. His funeral was held the next day.

“ In relation to Deepak Rao's murder, there is a false news being circulated via texts in WhatsApp that the arrested people are the active members of the BJP minority cell and have worked for the ‘former minister Krishna J Palemar’ during the previous assembly elections. This is absolutely false, baseless and misleading news,” reads the statement.

“In midst of the tension created due to the situation which has disturbed the peace and unity in the region, we are working day and night to rebuild the peace in the region. But, it seems that legislator Moideen Bava and his followers, under his command, are spreading this false news to disturb the peace,” the statement continues.

It is pity that these politicians are using even such death cases for their electoral gains and mileage. Hence this is a kind request to our dear citizens not to get misled by such news,” Palemar concludes the statement.

Whoever may be the suspect of the recent murder in Mangalore, but fact that only party which benefits for such communal tensions are RSS political wing BJP.

If one analyse the chronology of communal tensions in India since the era of 'Rath Yatra', prior to every crucial election in India there are communal clashes. Then troupe of hate speakers asking to vote for BJP claiming sympathy.
A study conducted by three political scientists of the Yale University claim that had Congress lost all close elections between 1962 and 2000, there could have been 10% more communal riots in the The Yale University in their paper titled "Do parties matter for ethnic violence? Evidence from India", have maintained that "the election of a single Congress MLA in a district brought about a 32% reduction in the probability of a riot breaking out prior to the next election. Simulations reveal that had Congress candidates lost all close elections in our dataset, India would have faced 10% more riots and thousands more riot casualties".
Analysing the effect of riots on the vote share of "Hindu nationalist parties", the paper notes that "the BJS/BJP saw a 0.8 percentage point increase in their vote share following a riot in the year prior to an election". "The polarization of the electorate induced by riots disadvantages Congress in subsequent elections, making it counter-productive for the party's affiliates to instigate riots following an electoral loss," the paper notes.

An Pew Research Center(PM Modi got rating ) analysis of 198 countries ranked India as fourth worst in the world for religious intolerance. In the country of 1.3 billion, the incidence of hostility related to religion trailed only Syria, Nigeria and Iraq, all places where sectarian violence is widespread.
India is the fourth-worst country in the world for religious violence. Thanks to PM Modi India and BJP.

Last statement of this saint is quite revealing. He is probably criticizing his own partly leaders such as Yeddy who blamed Rai without taking much effort. Even a goat can tell who is the political beneficiary from this murder and definitely it cannot be the congress party. I hope the police investigates the matter thoroughly and publicize the motive and also disclose any conspirators involved in this.

Murderer is a criminal. If he belongs to a religion ( as per records) or a political party, or is a banker or a doctor or a taxi driver - these are irrelevant.

There is judicial system and there is Police - our focus is on strengthening the very same and if necessary bring newer legislation and provide infrastructure for the swift and efficient justice.

No reason justifies taking any ones life. People who pride themselves as educated and intelligent are at the mercy of the rumors and fears because of their silence during murders of RTI activists.

Let this be a moment of reflection of people and citizens of coastal regions - irrespective of religion, and economic status- are we responsible for these state of affairs - Because of our silence?

Do we take sides or allow justice to take its course?

Trying to maintain peace?? How boss?? Any common uneducated person can also see things that BJP is doing. Lemme point them,
-Within about an hour of Deepak's death all you guys gathered to do a press conference, I would prefer to visit his family instead as a normalhuman being.
-Who wanted to do a procession with the dead body? Such processions only ignite more tempers and hate. That's not something a sensible person seeking peace would do.
-When the cops got the body to Deepak's place to avoid any untoward incidents who objected and wanted the body to be taken away?
-Who blocked roads at PVS causing so much trouble to the general public? Not just the public but even the soul of Deepak would be hurt seeing you guys making it a mockery. Most of you were laughing and posing for pics.

There aremany more but I think these many are enough to say that who's wanting to maintian peace and who's trying to gain mileage out of a sad death. Don't use dead bodies as steps to climb on to your cabinet berths, Be scared of God if not People at least.
