Belagavi, Jan 5: Social activist Anna Hazare criticised Karnataka MP and Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde for his recent remarks on changing the India Constitution and said that Hegde should to be treated in a mental hospital for holding such mentality on the Constitution.
In a press meet held here on Friday, January 5, the famous activist who had led the campaign for the passage of the Lok Pal Bill, said, "The Constitution reflects the aspirations of the people. The federal structure and pluralism of the country are intact because of the ideals and values imbibed in the Constitution by the makers. It is not right to make such statements on amending the basic structure," he said.
“The demonetisation of higher denomination currency notes has not put a curb on the corruption. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to achieve his goal of making India corruption-free,” Anna Hazare said.
