Beltangady, Jan 6: In an incident, a disheartened lover pulled the girl student of a college, with whom he was in one-way love, from the bus and in the melee the girl got injured.

The incident took place at Nejikar near here on Friday, January 5.

Karthik, a resident of Alake, was in love with a girl, resident of Ilanthila village and degree student of a college in Beltangady. It is learnt that of late the girl was ignoring him and he resorted to this act out of dejection.

On Friday, when the girl was about to board the bus at Nejikar, Karthik, who was bike-borne, pulled her from the footboard. Due to this the girl student fell on the road and got injured. Immediately the nearby bike riders and people caught hold of Karthik and handed him over to the police and hospitalized the injured girl.

As per sources parents of both Karthik and the girl student have resolved the issue amicably through mutual discussion.
