Five dead after fire breaks out at restaurant in Bengaluru's KR Market


Bengaluru, Jan 8 (DHNS): Five people died after a fire broke out at a bar and restaurant in the Vegetable market area, Kalasipalya, Bengaluru in the wee hours of Monday. Around 2:30 am fire and smoke was noticed by the on-goers, who immediately alerted the fire department.

The fire broke out at the Kailash bar and restaurant located on the ground floor of Kumbaara sangha building. Five workers who were sleeping inside the restaurant died in the fire.

The deceased have been identified as Swami (23), Prasad (20), and Mahesh (35), natives of Tumkur; Manjunath (45) and Keerthi (24) are the natives of Haasan and Mandya respectively.

2 fire tender trucks and 1 fire rescue vehicle were rushed to the spot and put off the blaze. The Cause of fire is unknown and is being investigated, police said.

    This may be due to negligence or short circuit which will be known only on investigation but bad to loose the life of the innocent people
