Udupi, Jan 9: Chief minister, Siddaramaiah, speaking at a programme organized on Tuesday January 9 at Uppoor in the district, said he has the guts and skill to handle Deve Gowda and that he does not get intimidated by the threats of the latter.
Referring to repeated threats being posed by Deve Gowda that he would expose Siddaramaiah, the CM said that he has been observing the ways of functioning of Deve Gowda since many years. "There is nothing extra he can show to me than what I have already seen. I have seen enough by being with him and also being in the opposition," he quipped. He reiterated that there is nothing additional that Gowda has which has not yet been seen by him.
He analyzed that national president of BJP, Amit Shah, is experiencing the fear of getting defeated in Karnataka. "He has already got the signal about the way the results will be, going by the results of the bypolls in the state. His strategies, techniques and plans will not work wonders here. Voters of our state have decided to elect Congress government again," he stated.

Siddaramaiah said that he is not at all worried or bothered about secret meetings Amit Shah might hold in the state, adding that his party will release the list of party candidates at an opportune time. He accused the central government of organizing income tax raids on people who are close to him. "Even the raid on the residence and businesses of D K Shivakumar were backed by evil intentions," he said.
About criticism being directed at him for spending government money for his 'Sadhana Samavesha' programmes, he wanted to know which funds does Prime Minister, Naredra Modi use for his foreign trips. He questioned the concerned as to whether the Prime Minister spends from his pocket for these tours, and justified his action in touring the districts at government's expense, terming the same as government programme.
On the issue of Twitter war between himself and Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, he said farmers in Karnataka had ended their lives on account of severe drought. He advised Yogi to confine his activities to his own state and concentrate on its development.
