Bantwal, Jan 10: In an accident, a car hit a roadside tree at Badagundi, near Manihalla here on Wednesday, January 10. A baby died later without responding to treatment and six members of the family are seriously injured. They have been admitted in a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The injured have been identified Jerman, Roshan, Lavita, Cecilia Baretto, Omni driver Robin and one child, all residents of Badagundi.
“Roshan, a gulf employee had come on vacation recently. The driver lost the control and hit the tree at Badagundi curve when the family in it was returning home from a beach. Roshan was planning to return to Kuwait tomorrow for work,” said local people.
Bantwal traffic police arrived at the spot and took further action.
