Unthinkable and unbelievable incident took place on 20th July. The Viegas family has been attacked by the RSS and Sangh Parivar and still no action has been taken. I personally feel that the police are partially involved in this incident.l ask all the higher authorities that, is there any law, to control this inhuman act? If there is, then the victim should get the justice according to that.

Oh! What a robust act by the Fundamentalists workers. Must be given a bravery award for their shameful act for beating a helpless woman namely Mable Veigas at midnight and not allowing ber family to take her to the hospital for treatment. I feel, this is the inhuman act which should be punished by the law of the land.

Hello Sir Manjunatha, This is not Conversion case Sir. This is case of attacking a woman in the midnight, by 50-60 hired goondas. This is utter intollerance and jealousy against minorities. Land dispute could have been solved amicably. Who has given the power of law in their hands to attack on any human-kind. If didn't understand the matter read again and again with visual pictures and don't link this issue to other issue. I hope you understand English.

We minorities like Christians and Muslims need to be very assertive by showing our unity among Christians.  We need a very genuine leader like Valerian Madtha from vittal.. and so on . not like a polititician who just delivers a speech. I feel christian politician like Oscar Fenandes and Ivan D'Souza are not very capable...Lets hope to get very strong leaders from Christian community

What can we expect from BJP, they have to please their principle fanatic organization the RSS. We can expect some more this kind of treatment from BJP while they are in Power and if they want to follow the footstep of Narendra Modi then they have to think about in their dreams. Attacking a lady is not justified by any means and if they had land problems it could be solved with a mediator or by court. It is the time for minorities & truly secularist to be united and show our strength to the puppet government.

Shame on people who are communalising this issue. whoever has attacked this family should be booked. If sangh parivar is involved I think the leaders should apologise, or atleast come out openly and give their side of the story. Why target such a family. I think the family needs support of all communities. Why divide us like this

Where is the Home Minister and others ruling Karnataka? Silently supporting Goondaism and RSS. RSS is the destroyer. Why the miscreants are not arrested? Okay it is a land dispute. RSS is above Law and order. But police should do their duty by arresting the Goondaaz.

U r right Mr. V.Rao. People are politicizing the issue. It must be property dispute and they are adding political and religious color to it. Y always blame RSS and VHP.Yeah v all r Indians and v should live in peace and harmony.Y some people are interested in converting.Let the people live on their own. If anyone wants to convert to another religion its his or her choice, don't misguide them by offering money and convert. The other problem is v should respect other religions. Some people have the attitude that only "our religion" should stay in this world and so on.So, there the trouble starts. Is there any so called "secular nation" other than India? There is either Muslim ,Christian, Hindu, Bhuddist, etc. People talk of secularism. I would ask them to introspect themselves and see to what extent they are secular and what do they mean by secularism? I just want to say hatred is not the solution. V should respect each other and respect other's sentiments.

Defenceless lady has been attacked by apparently Sangh parivar people. It was necessary to raise the voice against injustice to show might is not always right. It was also important to say in public that law enforcing authorities cannot continue to be indifferent towards public attacks on minorities. Mr. Ivan D'Souza and others who partcipated in the protest deserve gratitude, full support and encouragement.

No one has the authority to attack anyone whatever may be the reason. In this case a woman has been attacked. When an injured woman has been hospitalized and FIR is filed, why the police are not taking the action? What is the pressure on them? Who stops them from arresting those culprits? Home ministry must take immediate action. Attempt to murder case must be filed against them. Being Christians, our protest must be nonviolent.

A very unfortunate incident. If its true Sangh Parivar should come out with their stand. There are courts, lawyers and Police to look into these issues. Ofcourse Politians do try to take mileage out of this irrespective of the community or party !!

Mr V. Rao, I understand your cry for peace. Let us be good friends, and we all will be good friends. Antisocial elements are not good friends of anybody, people who take law in their hand will not be good friends of anybody. Please do stand for justice Mr. V. Rao. asking to arrest the miscreants is not blowing out of proportion. As a pioneer for peace don't you think that justice is denied to this victim, imagine if she was your sister would you sing the same chorus?

India is a country with people of different religions, languages and culture. It is the legitimate right of every citizen to voice against crime and breach of Law. One of the comments here says not to comment on this by a reader from Vittal. He says a catholic Man was attacked by other Catholics and the matter was land dispute and no such protests were made.

Here we are talking about a situation where a woman is attacked and hospitalised. The website is showing picture of the hospital bed with Mabel Veigas and comment says ‘politicians are trying to exploit the situation’. Does it mean that the sangh parivar can attack a woman and she is hospitalized and people cannot to protest just because they are from the politics?

It’s a shame on the people who are involved with this attack. It can be land dispute or any other matter but we have courts to handle this. Who has given the right to Sangh Parivar to take law in their hands? It has become fashion for RSS, BJP and VHP people to break the law and to be in news. They enjoy attacking minorities and the police are not taking any action.

The young unemployed Hindu young boys are misled by the VHP, RSS and BJP and given a saffron Dhoti makes them feel like they are protectors of the Hindu Society. There were so many attacks on Christian activists and churches on claims that Christians are making forced conversions. The police are not taking any action on these matters.

Just take the example of attacks on Beef stalls. Who has given powers to Sangh parivar to close down the Beef business? India is our nation, and we are citizens by birth and we have our legitimate right to consume the meat that of our choice.

Sangh Parivar activists know that their ‘Big Brother’ BJP is ruling the state. While the government controls the police unit I don’t think police will ever take a stern action against the culprits. The BJP government has started to unfold its real color!! At the end of the day we the Christians who have to pay the price. Let us not lag behind to demonstrate our solidarity and fight for justice and for our rights.

Dear readers, Only a few days ago, there was another incident where a Catholic gentleman was attacked by his neighbors due to an on-going land dispute. All the parties involved in that case were catholic Christians. There were no protests or processions. Land disputes are the common reason behind all these petty rivalry and fighting in rural areas such as Vittal. Some of the local politicians are trying to exploit the situation for their own benefit. Dear friends, please do not fall for this. We, people of Vittal region are known for our tolerance and co-existence. My neighbors include both muslims and Christians. We are all good friends. This is just an isolated case blown out of proportions. Peace.
