Mangaluru: Head constable Kamalaksha K chosen for President's Police Medal

Mangaluru, Jan 26: Kamalaksha K, currently posted to seventh battalion of Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) based at Asaigoli here, has been chosen for the President's Police Medal taking into account his distinguished service, on the occasion of Republic Day 2018.

Kamalaksha joined KSRP seventh battalion as a constable on June 4, 1993. During the period till November 3, 1996 since joining, he served at Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts, duly providing abundant evidence of his sincerity and dedication. During his posting outside the state too, his meritorious services were recognized and lauded by his superiors.

Kamalaksha has won 15 cash rewards and three appreciation letters so far and has discharged duties also as a motor cycle rider, besides being deployed to control law and order situations.

He has not faced any departmental enquiry or punishment so far. KSRP here had recommended his name for this distinguished recognition.
