Mangalore, Aug 9: Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa visited the city on Saturday, August 9. He reached the city at about 1.30 pm through helicopter. He accepted the guard of honour offered by the district police, after alighting from the helicopter at the Maryhill helipad.

Speaking to media persons, he said that his cabinet will be whole-heartedly supporting the protests that might be organised in the state, in support of the demand for conferring classical status for Kannada. Yeddyurappa also informed that night patrolling and vigil in the entire district has been intensified for beefing up security measures to curb anti-social activities.

Later, he visited the Bunder area in the city and inaugurated an ice plant there. He also inspected the new court complex which is under construction near the old court premises.

Home minister Dr V S Acharya, district in-charge minister Krishna Palemar, BJP state president Sadanand Gowda, MLA Yogish Bhat, former MLA Padmanabha Kottari, BJP district president Monappa Bhandary and others were present on the occasion.

Nice to see that now a days CM is visiting Mangalore and coastal Karnataka regularly. I am sure the middle path taken by BJP ( Developing Bangalore along with tier-2 city and pro farmer) will make them ideal in India. All the best. but sad part is that after yediyurappa who is next. I am seeing big fight.

Instead of giving importance to any regional language and meals, our honourable CM had to give importance to State developments, peace & harmony among the people and agriculture, Our state would have become a model for all states of India. These photographs shows how simple our CM is when eating. But forgets all the people of the state whether they get a meal a day or not.

Till the next Lok sabha election this kind of visit will continue so that CM's dream of making advani as PM is fullfiled. Hope the CM is genuinely interested in developing of the state and not just fake marketing. God bless yedurappa. Mangalore should become the second financial capital after mumbai, due to the similarity. I would love to see it become like Singapore.
