Kasargod: Religious conversion of Uduma youth - NIA team arrives for investigation

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Feb 28: It is learnt that a young man from Uduma, who had gone to Ernakulam in connection with employment, has undergone religious conversion and embraced Islam. The youth who changed his religion without the knowledge of his family, has been identified as Shreejit (26) from Nalamvadukal Colony in Uduma.

Shreejit had gone to Ernakulam and bagged employment as salesman in a textiles shop there. The family members, over a period, had witnessed changes in his behaviour and lifestyle. Having become suspicious about these changes, they had informed the department of home about the changes they had observed. Although the home department tried to ascertain the reason and background relating to this conversion, it had failed in its task as Shreejit was not cooperative, it is said. Shreejit escaped from his house before a police team reached there to question him, in the guise of attending a festival. The police went to the venue of the festival but could not find him there.

After he left home, the family had no information about Shreejit's whereabouts. During investigation, the department found that Shreejit had recently obtained passport in his own name. There are also indications that he has left for abroad already.

In this backdrop, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team has arrived in the town to investigate about religious conversion of Shreejit and his sudden disappearance. It may be recalled that sometime back, a girl student of a college from Uduma had changed her religion all of a sudden into Islam. Later, she had opted to revert to her original religion.

If anyone is joining ISIS, NIA must investigate irrespective of one's religion. Conversion alone should not trigger an investigation. What if a Hindu or Christian join ISIS without conversion. It is the mindset that needs to be investigated. It is not NIA's job to do witch hunt.

Is this a joke??? seriously please tell me this is a joke. An adult male 26 years of age converts to Islam. NIA is doing an investigation. Now did that person break any law? no.

The last line says all about the stupid mentality of our people,

''It may be recalled that sometime back, a girl student of a college from Uduma had changed her religion all of a sudden into Islam. Later, she had opted to revert to her original religion.''

Here there may or may not be any coercion for her to convert to Islam... but we cannot rule out the fact that there might have been definite coercion involved for her to convert back?

Do any of these fools know that if one converts Islam they cannot convert back to any faith??

While addressing everyone else as fools and believing the self is the smartest, have you given any thoughts to why NIA is interested in this case?
Note the below points, you might understand.
Unfortunately all the indians who joined ISIS are Muslims.
Majority of the converted Muslims in the recent times have gone to Syria to join ISIS.
There is a systematic modus operandi from the ISIS recruiters to get people converted and send them to Syria.

This is not about conversion. It is about national security.

    Ivar,

''While addressing everyone else as fools and believing the self is the smartest, have you given any thoughts to why NIA is interested in this case?''
Yes... my thoughts were that anyone directing NIA are fools. And I stand by it.

''Note the below points, you might understand.
''Unfortunately, all the Indians who joined ISIS are Muslims.''
Of course... I did not expect Hindu to join ISIS.

''Majority of the converted Muslims in the recent times have gone to Syria to join ISIS.
There is a systematic modus operandi from the ISIS recruiters to get people converted and send them to Syria.''
This is stupid. If you say that a child was brainwashed and then sent to Syria is one thing. But saying that people who are adults being forcefully sent to Syria is plain stupid.

Why NIA is so much interested in one conversion issue. Every Indian has the right to follow based on the religion he likes. This is fundamental right of every indian. Is central govt and NIA trying to snatch this right. Will NIA take same interest if a person from other religion converts to Hinduism. I dont think so. Instead of investigating NIA and Central Govt would have awarded the person. What a double standard? Govt is doing this only to divert public attention from scams whereas crores of rupees are being stolen and eaten by supporters of Govt. 50% economy of india is now stolen by these crocodiles and still we trust that India is shining and it will be free of corruption / scams.

Indian Constitution give every adult to choose & practice the religion as he/she wishes. If fully satisfied of his/her religion he will not convert to other religion.
People say brain wash/Love Jihad all are bull sit.You don't judge the Muslim by his/her name, if we muslim follow 100% Quran & Prophet people will own will convert to islam by looking our deeds & action him self will follow religion

Islam is the true religion & it has a solution for all the problems in the society.Don't judge Islam by looking at what muslim do.See what the Holy Quran teaches & what prophet teaches.

Ban all kind of conversions, also make a law that no reservations or special benefits will be applicable if a person gets converted to other religion. I do not understand what people find new/different in other religion that he/she cannot find in his/her own religion. One should be happy and follow their own religion and respect other religions.

    Amazed to note India's priorities.

NIA and other tax-payer funded national investigation agencies appear to spend a lot of their energies on a few converting to another religion.

Imagine if these investigation agencies spent even a quarter of their efforts on people like Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya, and the nationalised banks! Where would India be!
