Mangaluru, Mar 2: CCB police have arrested another accomplice of underworld don Kali Yogesh in connection with the serial shootout incidents.
CCB police team led by CCB inspector Shantharam who obtained information about accomplices of Kali Yogesh, who were absconding after participating in the shootout incident, arrested Dinesh (35), resident of Haripade Mane near Haleyangady.
Two mobiles are recovered from him. The suspect was constantly in contact with Yogish and providing information to him.
A garment shop in Car Street in city, a jewellery shop in Mulky and a house belonging to businessman in Kulai were targeted during three shootout incidents.
The police had arrested, on December 28, 2017, Manoj Kumar and Chandrashekar two other accomplices of Kali Yogish who were also involved in the shootout incident. Two pistols and seven live bullets were recovered from them. Tejpal who was providing information to Kali Yogish about businessmen in the city was arrested on February 14 this year.
Now with the arrest of Dinesh, four persons stand arrested relating to the shootout incidents.
CCB police have collected details about people who are in touch with Kali Yogish and have continued investigations.
CCB police inspector Shantharam, PSI Shamsunder, Kabbalraj and police staff participated in the operation of arresting the suspect.
