Mangaluru, Mar 11: Flights which arrived from Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru on Sunday March 11 morning could not land at Mangaluru International Airport due to heavy blanket of fog.

Jet Airways flights that took off from Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru were supposed to land at Mangaluru International Airport. However, as there was dense fog and as the visibility was very poor, they did not land and proceeded towards Bengaluru.

Passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi as well as from Bengaluru had to face inconvenience due to this unforeseen weather condition. SpiceJet flights that were supposed to arrive in Mangaluru also returned to Bengaluru.

Minister U T Khader's flight delayed

Minister U T Khader had left Bengaluru at 7.10 am for Mangaluru and the flight was supposed to reach Mangaluru airport at 8.10 am. However, due to bad weather condition and poor visibility, the plane was diverted back to Bengaluru.

Khader, who reached Bengaluru at 9 am ultimately reached Mangaluru at 12 noon by Jet Airways flight. Due to this, the minister had to cancel his itinerary that was slated for Sunday morning.
