Bengaluru, Mar 18: Irked by the tweet that made the party red-faced, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has issued notice to Harsha Moily, son of former union minister, M Veerappa Moily. Harsha Moily is an aspirant for Karkala seat this time.
In his controversial tweet, Harsha had said that there is nexus between PWD minister and road contractors and they play a major role in deciding the ticket distribution. He also had mentioned that the party should be spared of the influence money plays in ticket distribution.
KPCC has served notice to Moily seeking explanation on the above tweet. Under instructions from in-charge of party affairs in the state, K C Venugopal, KPCC president, Dr G Parameshwar, issued this notice. Moily might face disciplinary action if he is unable to provide a suitable reply or tender an apology.
Moily has been asked to furnish his reply within a week. At the same time, the party has dithered from issuing notice to M Veerappa Moily, in whose twitter account the said tweet appeared first.
