why don't these politicians get in to such gimmicks. Modi did it and could succeed. That doesn't mean an Tom, Dick, and Harry can do this. Hello Shakunthalakka... where were you for all these 4 years, never to be seen in such public transports... All of sudden , election is nearing all these gimmicks... Too bad. Don't get in to all these stupid acts. those days are gone. Now people are smart to realize what's getting cooked up... so , please... if you are sure you have done great jobs in your tenure, don't worry and relax, people will vote for you. If you have done nothing , than politics and played around... then what ever you do.. people will send you home... but please... not all these nataks.

German President Angela Merkel travels to the office taking metro everyday as common citizen. Our Prime Minister Modi don't even wanted to share his travel details citing 'security reason' in response to RTI. But still calls himself 'transparent' government.

I appreciate MLA Shakuntala Shetty for her austerity measure, if every peoples representative seriously take it can save millions in tax money.

Do you honestly believe that the threat perception of Modi (or any Indian PM since the 1980’s) is comparable to that of some Western European leaders?

Not a bad idea at all. Must get used to being common man as soon as people unseat you. Starting early to get adjusted always helps.
