Leicester, Aug 25: The diabetes centre set up by the Silver Star Appeal, a local charity organization, was inaugurated by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday August 23. An international patron of the Silver Star Appeal, Bachchan was greeted by a cheering and screaming crowd of several hundred fans.

After greeting fans, he signed a new Ford car donated by Ronald Rodrigues, managing director of Edgware HiFi Centre and a big supporter of this charity. The car will be the prize in a charity raffle, the proceedings of which will go to the Silver Star charity. This car will also be endorsed and signed by many other celebrities in upcoming months including Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
