Bagalkot: We will not allow division of religion - Amit Shah

Bagalkot Apr 4 (DHNS): BJP national president Amit Shah has said that the party will not allow splitting of a religion.

"It is not right to divide a religion, tradition. The BJP does not believe in such practices and neither the party has any intention to use this issue for political gain," Shah said here on Tuesday.

He was speaking at a meeting of the Bharatiya Veerashiava Mathadheeshara Parishat ath Shivayoga Mandira.Shah further added that he had not come to the meeting with political objectives but only to seek blessings.

Channasiddarama Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami of Sree Shaila Peeta said that the attempt to divide Veerashaiva-Lingayat religion had now reached the Centre.

The seer added that the pontiffs had planned to meet Amit Shah and the prime minister Narendra Modi in the regard.

In Hubballi, Shah said the BJP is not against reservation and the party would protect the interest of the oppressed classes.

Shah, who spoke to reporters, said that the BJP would never withdraw the reservation facility nor would allow any other party to do so.

Opposition parties are spreading rumours on social media reservation facility would be withdrawn. This just politics. Monday's Bharat bandh in connection with the Atorocities Act was also unnecessary.

"We have utmost faith in the Constitution given to us by Dr B R Ambedkar," he said.

Best is vote for Congress. Bjp is done enough for minorities and don't even required them to prove minorities how great they are. What he is trying to prove and whom. Only uneducated will cheated with his banya talk. So tired of seeing such fake faces. Leaders should talk leadership in the growth of the nation of jobs, economy, religion should be out of politics. That is why all religion has priest to teach religion. So sad that indian's politicians talk religion first in politics and ignore the development of nation. So sad and people still elect them blindly

What a politics for gaining votes! Why should a GOD of all human beings be disturbed for
personal gain. If the politicians are little bit educated and have self respect can they not
fight the election without pointing out and changing the phases of ONE GOD who is for all
humanity. Ultimately they will be judged the same way at the end of their journey if they know they are answerable to ONE GOD Almighty!

Dear all politicians, go to hell. Its our caste, our religion and none of your business to interfere. You guys are public servants and should talk about only basic needs of people of this country such as health, education, economic development to move this country further. Nothing else. Whoever target any caste, religion are not acceptable to the people. Everybody loves religion/cast to which they belong (by birth).

Can't these ppl use some other agenda other than religions ?
There are many other issues that require lot of attention - Famine, Draught, Farmers protection, Raising pollution, Water shortage in cities, Deteriorating air quality, Food standards, raising medical & educational expenses, food inflation, Global warming nd all...
Probably these criminals are trying to divert attention from these serious issues..

Mr.Ivar ..but we don't call them as dalits nor they have any rules or regulations nor any uppercaste/lowercaste system..they attend same mass which we attend everyday, celebrate feasts together, have food together in functions. We wont discriminate between them and us..we all are equal...we call them as Christians, not dalits.....increase your knowledge on Christians before commenting and getting trolled.
PS:when problem is among youselves kindly solve that first instead of deviating to other religion like immature man.

There is no caste system in Christians. But, in India, the dalits, who convert to Christianity are called dalit Christians. Here, dalit means downtrodden and not a lower caste Christian. A dalit Christian has every right and privilege to become a priest, bishop, cardinal or pope, like any Catholic in the total population.

    @Ramesh,

Prophet Muhammad, Allah's Blessings and Peace be upon him, said:

"There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab. Neither is the white superior over the black, nor is the black superior over the white -- except by piety.

So do we still find any need for separate religion tag? If so, one is free to apply for the same.

Ramesh I am sure you don't know anything about originality of christ-ianity. Jesus christ carried 150kg cross with 15ft tall and people crusified him on the cross for your sake and mine. Christianity is not a religion but it is a relationship with christ in a most sacred ways who carried heavy cross for us for our ignorance and stupidity on this earth. Haters who crusified him and same ways many haters still hate and trouble us just we are the followers of Christ. Anyone who follows him all are originals bcze it is a relationship with him which make unique and original all the time. Why european and originals and why not indian's. You were not born with any tag. You were born with and go the same original ways to ashes like any human

Change must start from the one who leads the preach. Create leaders like current day Mother Theresa or Abdul Kalams. We need these to build the country socially, economically, intellectually, financially and become developed.
