Dubai, Apr 6: The trailer of 'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi' Kannada movie that has been made with a different kind of story, with veteran actor, Anant Nag and Radhika Chetan in the lead, was released at Dubai recently.
The programme was organized by 'Kannadigaru Dubai' at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium of Indian High School at Karama here. The trailer was released in the presence of considerable crowd of Kannada fans at a music programme, ' Sangeeta Saurabha - 2018' with the participation of well-known Sandalwood singer and music composer, Arjun Janya.
This movie which is based on a story that has not been narrated so far by any of the Kannada movie makers, has been directed by Narendra Babu, who also has provided story, screenplay and dialogues for the movie.
The film has been produced under the banner, 'Colors of Anekal' with the coming together of Sudarshan, Ranamurty, and 'ACME Movies International' banner of well-known Dubai-based entrepreneur and singer, Harish Sherigar and his wife, Sharmila Sherigar.
Producers, Harish Sherigar and his wife, Sharmila Sherigar, Vibez Cofee Estates managing director, Ashwin, Fortune Plaza hotel owner, Praveen Shetty, entrepreneur, Raveesh Gowda, Mohammed Mustafa, and Sadan Das of 'Kannadigaru Dubai' were present.
The movie will be released all over Karnataka after the assembly election.
The uniqueness of the film lies in the fact that mostly the story grows around two characters. Mainly it relates to people from two generations. The film, which begins with a touch of comedy, turns serious as it progresses.
A unique feature of this film is that it has also been shot at Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world. None of the Kannada films have been shot here so far and 'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi' gets credit for being the first Kannada movie to be shot here.
Ramachandra Hadapad who is backed by theater experience, has provided music to the songs of this film. The film has four songs, which are rendered by Vijaya Prakash, Armaan Malick, Varsha, Vani Satish, and Shweta Prabhu. Vinayakaram Kalagaru and Narendra Babu have provided lyrics.
This happens to be the third movie made under the banner of 'Acme Movies International' of Harish Sherigar and his wife, Sharmila Sherigar. It first movie, 'March - 22' had proved to be a huge hit. Second film under the banner, 'Yaana' with Vijayalaxmi Singh and Jai Jagadish, is ready for release.
