Dubai: New Rules for School Transport

7 Days

Dubai, Aug 28: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled guidelines that will govern school transport in Dubai.

For the new academic year, all bus drivers will have to  pass a test in order to get a licence and a ‘School Transport Manual’ will be released which contains all the rules.

Bus fares have yet to be announced, but they will be priced according to the distance from each pick-up point to each school, it is believed.

“The School Transport Manual covers the responsibilities of school managements, operators, drivers and students as well as their guardians,” Essa Abdul-Rahman Al-Dossari, CEO of RTA Public Transport Agency, said.
