Bengaluru: Ex-cop Anupama Shenoy plans to enter fray from Kaup constituency

Bengaluru, Apr 10: Former deputy superintendent of police and general secretary of Bharatiya Janashakti Congress party, Anupama Shenoy, expressed her inclination to fight the coming assembly poll from Kaup constituency in Udupi district.

She was addressing a press meet here on Monday April 9.

"I am thinking of fight from Kaup constituency. A final decision on this issue is yet to be taken. However, the choice of constituency can undergo last minute change. I am not fighting the election on account of personal vengeance or political ill will. Our party has come into existence to eradicate corruption and provide good administration," she explained.

State president of the party, Mahadeva Udagaonvi, stated that his party has already announced candidates for 15 constituencies and that the party wants to field candidates in all the 224 assembly constituencies in the state.

    Wrong place to start . Mr.Sorake has worked hard for his constituency and executed lot of good work in Kaup. People in the region are a witness to this .In addition to this he is non controversial and clean.she should choose some other constituency .

    Her getting into politics is as bad decision as quitting great career of poilice force. Now she is wasting hers and electoral proceedings time, energy and resources to some extent! She threw away wonderful career...she is herself to blame for the blunder! Max she can get is around 1,200 votes according to my prediction!

    Kaup is a minority favored constituency since some majorities are divided for greed!! for Congress and off course this Shenoy takes some majorities sympathy votes and minorities never votes her so in total Congress takes easy lead in Kaup....
    SURE THIS LADY SHENOY IS CONGRESS FINANCED CANDIDATE TO SPOIL BJP VOTES FOR SURE....
    there must of only two parties for election to see real fight like any games competition final

    Richard, Kaup goes to Sorake immaterial of party affiliation for the great development work and his help towards poor and needy. No MLA has ever done work like Sorake in Kaup. I'm from Kaup Constituency and I know peoples appreciation to Sorake cutting across party line and great disappointment towards MP for doing nothing and non availability in the constituency!

    10 thousand is a pie nut amount for someone, instead new rule must be come in as 10 lacs deposit ,if candidate not got sufficient percentage of votes then do not return this amount, then number of contestants automatically come down.

    She can use the deposit money to help the needy if she really wants to serve the people. Because this party, if not all will loose deposit in most of the constituencies i.e., total deposit amount of Rs 22.4 lakhs
