Bengaluru: Dinesh Gundu Rao asks people to attack Yogi with chappals

Bengaluru, Apr 15: Working president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, Dinesh Gundu Rao courted controversy by calling upon people of the state to attack Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, with chappals, duly accusing the latter of solidly backing an MLA from his state who had raped a woman.

Speaking at a protest programme organized by his party against Unnao and Kathua rape incidents at Maurya Circle here on Saturday April 14, Gundu Rao termed Yogi Adityanath as 'Bhogi Adityanath' meaning that he is a hedonist. "Adityanath is unfit to remain as chief minister. He should immediately be removed from that post by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi," he demanded.

Saying that if Yogi visits Karnataka, it would tantamount to insult of Karnataka, he asked the people to hit him with chappals if he comes here.

    Yogi s NO SAINT - Nor has he done dramatic development of his impoverished state. He should heavily
    focus on the job:
    1. Feed the hungry all over UP
    2. Provide them 4 walls - a small hut(?) so they can relax rather be on the streets 24 hours of the day
    3. Provide education to the youth - so they may become useful/productive members of the Society.
    4. Create employment and opportunities to the youth and educated men and women alike.
    5. Focus more on people, development/education/health and other social issues than wander around the country to promote ill-will and hatred.
    6. Religious men and women should respect human rights and RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.
    Regardless Yogiji is RESPECTFUL citizen of India - shouldn't thrashed with chappels!

    Don't worry CM Siddu is not some weak leader who will offer his other cheek if slapped on one cheek. He is a guy who will slap back and hard. If PM Modi has got something to say then CM Siddaramaiah will have a lot more to say back to him. Karnataka is not Gujarat or UP. Congress does not fear or worry about Modi or BJP anymore.
